Gnocchi Alla Vodka Class

In my cooking classes in Portland Maine you will learn how to make some of my favorite recipes. This class is all about gnocchi all vodka! We’ll meet at the Fork Food Lab and start with some snacks and get a brief introduction to tools and techniques. Then, we’ll dive right in, kneading and shaping gnocchi dough and making homemade vodka sauce. We’ll focus on fresh ingredients and classic techniques. After our food is cooked, we’ll sit down together and eat our creations (with a surprise dessert) and take home a watercolor recipe card. Cooking Class + Watercolor Food Painting

In our painting class we’ll spend 60-90 minutes learning how to draw and paint our gnocchi dish, which will help you gain a solid understanding of layering. We’ll start with an underpainting and progress into detail work. By the time we’re done, we’ll all know a thing or three about painting, not just cooking! You’ll go home with your very own painting and recipe so you can make gnocchi alla vodka time and time again. Each class is a new experience and builds your skills in both cooking and art.
